7 Day “Get Moving” Challenge

I have talked to so many people who still feel a bit “stuffed” after the Thanksgiving holiday. For most people, this is caused by more (or different) food than normal and/or a decrease in physical activity. I know I am not quite feeling back to normal.

To get back on track, I’m inviting everyone to join my 7 day “get moving” challenge. Basically, you just commit to doing some type of movement for at least 20 minutes a day for the next seven days (Friday through Thursday).

There are two benefits to this challenge: 1) Anyone can do it! Just had a baby? Pack up your baby (if your doctor says it is okay) in a stroller and go for a 20 minute walk. New to exercise and need a safe (or warm & dry) place to go? Try your local mall, large store, or even a church and walk for 20 minutes there. Of course, you’re welcome to lift weights, do yoga, cycle, run, or whatever pleases you. The point is just to be active! 2) We’ll all hold each other accountable! If you comment on this post at the bottom of the page (or on facebook or instagram), you’ll have others (maybe even people you know) holding you accountable for the next seven days.

  1. I started the seven day challenge while in California. I hope I can continue now that I’m back home with lots of “excuses”.
